About Us

Computer Vision Group (CVG) is a research group under the Department of Computer Science, The University of Hong Kong. CVG is engaged in two branches of computer vision: scene reconstruction and machine vision.

In scene reconstruction, we mainly focus on computing a 3D model of the scene. Topics includes Camera calibration, 3D model reconstruction, Photometric Stereo etc.

In machine vision, we aim to develop algorithms based on neural networks and deep learning to solve high level vision problems, such as scene text recognition, semantic matching, image retrieval, visual grounding, visual reasoning etc, and low level problems such as image super resolution, inpainting, face sketch synthesis etc.
